each creation six-course dinner, concluding with petit fours optional wine pairings package available at an additional cost Meet our Guest Chef: Jun Au (Pomelo) Jun Au opened Pomelo, an 18-cover café on Strathearn Road, in 2021 as a neighbourhood eatery serving the hand ripped noodles he had grown up eating at home and loved so much. The cafe’s reputation for its hand-ripped noodle bowls soon attracted long queues of customers eager to get their hands on the noodles for lunch, before they inevitably sold out. Popularity grew by word of mouth and The Times and The Guardian both named it one of  Edinburgh's must visit restaurants. By 2023, Pomelo’s success prompted a move to a larger 24-cover location on Sciennes Road, where the restaurant expanded to offer lunch Wednesday-Saturday, a more refined dinner on Fridays and Saturdays, and an Asian ‘brunch’ on Sundays. The lunch and brunch menu features beloved dishes like hand-ripped noodles, garlic and chili hash browns, and Sichuan honey crispy chicken sandwiches. In the evenings, the restaurant serves more refined Asian-fusion small plates designed for sharing, inspired by a modern Chinese family dinner. In 2024 Jun was named "Best Asian Chef in Scotland” by the Asian Catering Federation. Last year, Jun was awarded an esteemed Acorn Award, as well as listed in CODE's 2025 30 Under 30. Pomelo was also listed in the Good Food Guide’s 100 Best Local Restaurants.
