Qualification by Ofqual, the UK’s qualifications regulator. Led by Richard Bouglet of L’Art du Vin, a WSET Level 4 Diploma holder with over 35 years of experience in the wine trade, the course combines engaging instruction with practical activities, including guided tastings and food and wine matching exercises. What you will learn: The main types and styles of wine Common wine grapes and their characteristics How to store and serve wine The principles of food and wine pairing How to describe wine using the WSET Level 1 Systematic Approach to Tasting Wine® (SAT) Assessment: Assessment is by a closed-book exam of 30 multiple-choice questions. This qualification is regulated by Ofqual. The WSET (Wine & Spirit Education Trust) Level 1 Award in Wines is a beginner-level qualification for wine enthusiasts and hospitality professionals. Taught by Richard Bouglet from L’Art du Vin, this one-day course is fully accredited by Ofqual as a Level 1 Vocational Qualification. This course includes guided tastings, food and wine pairing exercises. Upon successful completion, you will receive a WSET certificate and lapel pin.
