The Edinburgh Food and Drink Academy retains applicants’ data as  governed by our contractual requirements as data controller and by UK GDPR and the Data Protection Act 2018. 

We collect and process any and all data in this form as per our lawful basis to assess and process your application, to assess whether you can study in the  United Kingdom and to comply with legal obligations such as conducting fraud  checks.

Providing this data is necessary for us to process your application. Failure to  provide this information will mean that we may be unable to process your  application. 

Your data is securely retained by the Edinburgh Food and Drink Academy for a  period of six years upon the conclusion of your course, should you successfully  apply to one of our cookery courses. If you do not continue with your application,  we will delete the data your provided unless it is required to retain by law.  We will not pass your data on to third parties without your express permission (if  required for a portion of your course such as work placements or for WSET wine  courses). 

We may share your data with fraud prevention agencies or law enforcement  agencies where required by law.  You have the right to request access to a copy of your personal data and  information about how it is processed. You have the right to get in contact to edit  and amend your data. You may also object to the processing of your data at any  time, and may withdraw your consent, requesting your data be deleted, at any  time.
