Mini Chef’s Holiday Camp

Give your Mini Chef a holiday full of cooking, creativity and making friends in the kitchen. Our five-day Holiday Camp is designed for children aged 9–12, with four dishes to make each day. From savoury favourites to baking treats, it’s a fun and hands-on way to spend the school holidays while learning new skills along the way...

Looking for something fun and different for the school holidays? Our Mini Chef’s Holiday Camp gives budding cooks the chance to spend five days getting creative in the kitchen at Edinburgh Food & Drink Academy.

Running from 10am–3pm each day, the camp is designed for children aged 9–12 and gives them plenty of time to get hands-on with cooking. Each day, they’ll make four different dishes, with a sweet recipe included every day, giving them the opportunity to try a variety of recipes throughout the week.

The recipes are designed to be fun to make, with dishes that children can get stuck into themselves. Guided by our kind and supportive teaching team, there will be something new and delicous to create each day.

With five days of cooking, there’s plenty of opportunity for children to build their confidence in the kitchen, get creative with food and develop practical cooking skills in a fun and sociable environment. It’s a chance to spend the holidays doing something they can be proud of – and inspire a love of cooking that they can take home with them.

Sample day’s menu:

  • Chicken Fajitas
  • Homemade Salsa and Guacamole
  • Vegetable Frittata
  • Chocolate & Banana Muffins

The recipes will change each day.

The kids will enjoy the food they make for lunch, but there will be plenty to take home for the rest of the family to try.
